Mr. Manoj Basnyat, Country Director visited Coastal and Wetland Biodiversity Management (CWBMP) Project site at Hakaluki Haor, Kulaura. He attended Consultative Meeting with the CWBMP Project Team, Local Government Representatives and Administration, project partners etc. He also visited Field Sites and Interact with Village Conservation Groups (VCGs) and local Community. It was agreed that UNDP will look further partnership development with the Division and district level. Project should align and proactive to implement the community micro-grants. Emphasis was given to develop wide partnership with local government institutions, local agencies of different relevant sectoral government agencies such as agricultural, forest, fisheries, water resources, land. It was also suggested to strengthen awareness activities on biodiversity conservation involving local schools, media and NGOs.
Mr. Basnyat sowed a neem plant at the Project Office of Hakaluki Haor.
