Capacity Strengthening Team (CST) of Rural Employment Opportunities for Public Assets (REOPA) Project

Background

Rural Employment Opportunities for Public Asset (REOPA) - Capacity Strengthening Team is a UNDP executed intervention providing technical, financial and managerial support to the main REOPA Project. The Project is implemented by the Local Government Division, Ministry of Local Government, Rural Development & Cooperatives (MoLGRD&C). European Commission (EC) is the principal donor.

The project facilitates processes of rural employment and income opportunities for hard core poor women and men, which will enable the selected food insecure communities to ease constraints that impede them and capitalize on opportunities that can help them to achieve food security. The project also aims to strengthen the capacity of central and local level government bodies and NGOs in designing, implementing and monitoring pro-poor and participatory employment projects, so that efforts made by REOPA are sustained.
