About This Project

The Early Recovery Facility (ERF) serves as a dedicated long-standing facility supporting early recovery after a disaster, smoothing out the transition to long-term recovery. Its overall objective is to support the Government of Bangladesh to provide policy and programmatic support for local and national level recovery, and to introduce development-oriented recovery interventions in a post-disaster situation.

ERF promotes national ownership of the early recovery process by engaging national and local authorities in the planning, execution and monitoring of recovery actions. ERF will provide local and national Government agencies with support in developing policies and plans for full recovery, through the systematic assessment of recovery needs, coordination amongst various agencies, preparation of an early recovery plan and human resources when needed.
