Bangladesh

UNV in Bangladesh will support the ongoing national consultation and UN Country Team processes by facilitating and leveraging engagement of civil society, communities (especially targeted groups within the country) especially through national, local and regional consultations and global networking. An important component of the project will also focus on knowledge building and sharing, highlighting the relevance of volunteerism and civic engagement across different areas of thematic delivery, including the specific relevance of engaging young people in efforts to achieve national development goals.

UNV Bangladesh will be embarking on a two year Prepatory Assistance project focused on Volunteerism and Volunteering in the country and also through an integrated approach with UN agencies, pilot a youth component aimed at giving youth a voice and involved in community but also local government participatory and decision making processes.
